Unfortunately, I feel like it looks a little funny with the buttons exposed - I wish there was a fabric flap (like on other clergy shirts) that hide the buttons. Because of this, I don't wear this shirt very much. However, it comes with a VERY comfortable, soft, tab collar. It was almost worth the whole purchase to have a tab collar like that I can use on other shirts!
